After you finish the HeartCode online course (the cognitive portion, about one to two hours at your own pace), you complete an instructor-led skills session that leaves you walking out more confident and competent than before. Only after both the online course and the in-person skills session are complete does the AHA issue your official course-completion eCard, valid for two years. There is no legitimate online-only AHA certification: the hands-on check is mandatory, and it is the part we make fast, supportive, and same-day. Step one: complete the AHA online cognitive course at your own pace and save your completion certificate.
